March 30, 2011 Teach-In

During the March 30 Town Hall, We the People Eugene showed the movie “The Story Of Citizens United” by Annie Leonard. LCC Professor Stan Taylor explained the intricacies of the Citizens United vs FCC 2010 Supreme Court decision and the curious history of Corporate Personhood in the United States. Afterward questions and comments were taken and then the entire audience broke up into issues groups to further discuss their areas of interest. Our local petition was circulated and volunteers signed up for Street Theater, Art, Petition, research and records tasks.

Below are a few photos from the event.
